Harvey “SONNY” Beachem Jr. is the father of Chef & Founder Kevin Sbraga. Sonny & Sons pays homage to Sonny, his son Kevin and his grandson Angelo. He started his first business in 1960 at the tender age of 22 and went on to own and operate numerous bakeries across the Delaware Valley for over 45 years. 

Much like his father, Kevin has embarked on a similar path, following in his father’s footsteps creating nationally acclaimed restaurants in Philadelphia such as Sbraga and The Fat Ham.

The menu at Sonny & Sons is drawn from some of Harvey’s favorites dishes such as hot chicken, mac-n-cheese and collard greens. Sonny would often make the one hour trek from his home in Delaware to Philadelphia just to get his fix of southern comfort. 

The hope is that this concept pays respect to Sonny’s craftmanship while creating an legendary brand that can be passed on to Kevin’s son Angelo as well as generations to come.
